The September 'Goddess Box' by Society of Lovely

Okay, so I said last month that the August Goddess Box was my favourite box by Society of Lovely, now it's the September Goddess Box that's my favourite! But that is what you want from a subscription box, you want a to subscribe to a box that keeps getting better and better, and wows you each month. The September Box contains plenty of variety, and I loved every item in this box, and this box is in my top ten for 2020. The Goddess Box is one of three boxes that you can subscribe to and is $65 NZD per month. The two other boxes that you can subscribe to are Little Lovelies at $40 NZD per month and Envy at $105 NZD per month (shipping is included in the price). With Little Lovelies, you receive 4-5 items, with Goddess Gifts, you get 5-7 items, and with Envy, you get the full package, with around 8-11 items. The September Box contained six items.

1. Microfibre Makeup Remover by The Good Source

The first item in the September Goddess Box is this lush Microfibre Makeup Remover pad by NZ brand, The Good Source. The Good Source create a range of eco-friendly products that help you to reduce your waste and eliminate single-use plastics. If you check out their website you'll find products for beauty, produce, and waste; all things that we may not think about, but does create a tonne of waste every day.

Their Microfibre Makeup Remover is reusable (up to 200 uses), and are non-toxic. All you need to do remove your makeup is add warm water to the pad, and use circular motions with the pad to both exfoliate and cleanse! Removing my makeup is a task that I dread, so I was a tad skeptical that this pad could remove my makeup - but it literally took me only ten seconds to remove all of my makeup. I'm in awe, and these microfibre pads feel so gentle on your skin! Straight after using this, I went onto The Good Source's website and bought one of their sets which contains three Microfibre Makeup Remover's!

2. Ginger & Turmeric Goju Shots

Next up, we have two wellness shots, one Ginger and the other Turmeric, by local company, Goju Shots! First up, is the Fire Ball - Ginger Shot. Ginger is known for boosting your immune system, and helps with digestion and weight loss. This shot contains 50% ginger, and apple and lemon. The second shot is Glow - Turmeric Shot. Turmeric contains anti-inflammatory properties, antioxidants to help give you glowing skin, and boosts your mood. This shot contains 50% turmeric, and carrot, lemon, black, and cayenne pepper. The Ginger Shot has a hell of kick, with a bit of spice to knock your socks off! The Turmeric Shot is my fave, as it's quite tart and I like the blend of carrot and turmeric.

3. Amber Noir Artisan Salt Bar by Black Bird Grove

The third product in the September Goddess Box is this beautiful Amber Noir Artisan Salt Bar by bath, body, and skincare company, Black Bird Grove. Black Bird Grove are based in Loburn, North Canterbury, and make a range of products for your body that are natural, cruelty-free, palm-free, and packaged with zero waste.

This cold-pressed soap is the most stunning and definitely the most beautiful smelling soap I've ever used. I can't get over the Amber Noir fragrance and I'll be buying one of these as well as more of their range soon (keep an eye out as I'm pretty keen to review a Black Bird Grove product haul at some point!). The Amber Noir Artisan Salt Bar contains: Sea Salt, Saponified Oils of Coconut, Shea Butter, and Castor, Activated Charcoal, Dried Botanicals, and Fragrance Oil. This is the first time I've seen Black Bird Grove in a subscription box, and I hope to see more of their gorgeous products in future boxes.

4. Quick Dry Hair Wrap by Dock & Bay

I was actually in need of a new hair wrap, and this is an item I'd never think of getting in a subscription box, so I was pleasantly surprised to open the September Box and find this cute hair wrap by Australian company, Dock & Bay! Dock & Bay started off creating a quick-dry beach towel, and now have a range of beach products including: cooling towels, shorts, ponchos, and hair wraps.

Dock & Bay's Hair Wraps are made from a quick-dry material, which means less time blowdrying, which I love as it takes a long time to dry my hair. I'll be chucking my old hair wraps as this one feels super lightweight on my head, which I'll be very appreciative of during the warmer months!

5. SO: Salt & Oil's SO Uplifting Bath Soak

Next, we have the SO Uplifting Bath Soak by local brand, SO: Salt & Oil. Salt & Oil have featured in several subscription boxes this year and for good reason, their bath soak's are generous, affordable, and smell amazing! Salt & Oil are a Northland-based, family run business, who have created a range of natural, vegan, and cruelty-free bath salts. Their Bath Soak range includes: SO Active, SO Luxurious, SO Relaxing, SO Soothing, and the one I have today, SO Uplifting. The SO Uplifting Bath Soak contains: Natural Epsom Salt, Pure Himalayan Pink Salt and essential oils. The essential oils used in this bath soak are Clary Sage, which induces calmness and clarity, and Bergamot for relaxation and soothing. I definitely recommend trying a Bath Soak from the Salt & Oil range.

6. Lady Jayne Linen Fragrance Sachet

The last item in this month's Society of Lovely Box is a Linen Fragrance Sachet by homeware company, Lady Jayne. This sachet is just what I needed and it makes a big difference to your wardrobe! I can always count on Society of Lovely to include an item for my home in their boxes!

Rating: ❤❤❤❤/5

Verdict: I'm pretty sure that all subscribers loved the September Society of Lovely Box as much as me, as every item in the box is practical, of high quality, and is good for your mind or body! Society of Lovely's boxes definitely stand out for me, as they keep their boxes hush, and you never know what you're going to get each month, but they keep it super interesting as there's always at least one item that you wouldn't think of in a sub box. I'm also a big supporter of a subscription box that understands their subscribers, provides plenty of variety, and introduces new brands each month. There's three months left in 2020, and I'm excited to see what Society of Lovely continues to bring over the next three boxes! You can subscribe to their October box here!
