The 'March/April' Box by Love From You

Here's my first Love From You review for 2021, and the 'March/April' Box is all about spoiling yourself and having 'me time', with goodies to pamper your face, body, appetite, and mind with! Love From You Box is a wellness subscription box that is sent out every two months, and contains a variety of products for your mind, body, and soul. This box is beautifully presented, and you'll also receive a 'Wellness' magazine and checklist to help inspire you as you discover each product and take time out to care for yourself. A Love From You subscription is $69.99, with free shipping, and you'll be billed once every two months. The 'March/April Box' contained eight NZ-made full-sized products.

1. Annies Fruit Strips

The first Soul item in the March/April Love From You Box, is a pouch of Fruit Strips by Te Tauihu based company, Annies. Annies is owned by Kono, a values-led Māori-owned business, and they create a range of healthy, natural fruit snacks. These Fruit Strips are sweet and tangy, and contain different strips made from: apple, apricot, boysenberry, mango, passion fruit, raspberry, and strawberry. These Fruit Strips are free from gluten, nuts, dairy, sugar, are vegan, and contain no preservatives. Taking time out of your day to sit down and enjoy a healthy and delicious snack is good for both your body and soul, and using the checklist that Love From You include in each box, allows subscribers to take the time to really savour each item in their boxes.

2. Love From You To-Do List

The first Mind item in the box, is this To-Do List Pad designed by Love From You! This is one of my fave items in this box, as I live for to-do lists and each day I like to jot down all of the tasks I need to get done. I find it super rewarding to see my progress throughout the day, and be able to tick off my tasks. This To-Do List Pad has a lot of lines for you to jot down your to-do's, as well helpful sections such as: Priorities, Meal Planner, a Reflect box, Activities and Fitness, and Water Intake. I can use this both at home, with study and wedding planning, as well as at work.

3. Skye Candle & Bodycare Kawakawa Lavender Balm

One of the beautiful Body items in the March/April Box, is the Kawakawa Lavender Balm by Skye Candle & Bodycare. I've used their Kawakawa Lavender Balm before, and this multi-purpose balm is great little skin healer to carry around in your bag.

It contains: Beeswax, Kawakawa Extract, Safflower Oil, Sweet Almond Oil, Vitamin E, and Lavender Essential Oil. You can use the Kawakawa Lavender Balm for: eczema, rashes, cuts, bruises, irritated skin, and pain relief. The balm has a calming, lavender scent and I like to use this on my body when I find irritated patches as it is instantly relieving and moisturising. Glad I received this in the LFY Box, as I had actually just run out of my last pot!

4. Chia Natural Energy Orange Passionfruit by Chia Sisters

The second Mind product is the Chia Natural Energy Orange Passionfruit by Nelson-based company, Chia Sisters. Chia Sisters' drinks are made in a solar powered brewery. As well as drinks, Chia Sisters range includes muesli, seeds, and protein powder. The Natural Energy Orange Passionfruit Superfood Juice contains: chia seeds, orange, passionfruit, and apples grown in the Hawkes Bay. This juice is quite different; it's got a thick texture, and combined with the chia seeds, and natural sweetness, makes for a yummy, healthy beverage. I've saved half the bottle and I'll be enjoying the rest tomorrow with my breakfast for a good morning start!

5. OMni Polish with Sweet Orange & Coconut Sugar

The second Body product is OMni's Polish, with Sweet Orange & Coconut Sugar. OMni make a variety of unique, natural products, to nourish your skin. The OMni Polish can be used on your lips, cuticles, back of your hands, elbows, and knees. It contains botanical ingredients such as: Castor Seed Oil, Coconut Sugar, Beeswax, Sweet Orange Oil, and Raspberry Seed Oil. I used the OMni Polish on my lips, and holy heck! This stuff is amazing! I've used 'lip scrubs' in the past, and have never thought anything of them, but the OMni Polish is a lip scrub and the most moisturising lip balm combined. Once you lick off the sugar which exfoliates your lips, you are left with supple, soft, hydrated lips, and my lips stayed moisturised for a good couple of hours. This is definitely one of the best products I've used on my lips, and is one of my new faves, and if you suffer from dry lips I would recommend giving the OMni Polish a try!

Edit: I've been using this for a few days now and the OMni Polish has replaced a lip balm for me, it's that moisturising!

6. Skin Rebel Active Skin Essence by Solimara

The next Body product we have, is the Skin Rebel Active Skin Essence by NZ skincare company, Solimara. This serum contains ingredients such as: Jojoba Seed Oil, Apricot Kernel Oil, Grape Seed Oil, Plum Seed Oil, Hemp Seed Oil, Gingko Leaf Extract, Arctic Winged Kelp, and essential oils of: Frankincense, Myrrh, Ylang Ylang, and Immortelle. I've used the Active Skin Essence before and it's wonderful for tired and ageing skin, as it promotes cell turnover and collagen production, and a little goes a a long way (you only need 2-3 drops). I gave this product to my Mum to use and she loves it, especially as she's not big on using a lot of skincare products and she can use just the serum on it's own, but with plenty of benefits. The great thing about subscription boxes, is that there's always products to enjoy yourself or gift to your Mum to enjoy!

7. Matakana Superfoods Organic Cacao Powder

The third Body product is a pouch of Organic Cacao Powder by Matakana Superfoods. Matakana Superfoods have been regularly featuring across a few subscription boxes, and I can see why. They have a varied range of healthy food items and ingredients, that are of high quality. The Cacao Powder used in this product is sourced from the native Criollo tree in Peru, and is organic, gluten-free, raw, vegan, and paleo. You can use this Cacao Powder in smoothies, baking, and cooking and there are many benefits from cacao including: reducing fatiguing, stress management, and improving muscle and nerve function. This item has inspired me to do some baking over the Easter weekend; I have a few baking mixes here that I've been sitting on and not making so I'll be having a bake-a-thon over the long weekend using this Cacao Powder in as many baked treats as I can!

The last product in the March/April Love From You Box, is one for your Soul, and that's the Heartbeats Relaxing Balm by Auckland-based company, Ecobuni. Ecobuni hand make balms for your hair, body, and lips, as well as eco products. The Heartbeats Relaxation Balm comes in a glass jar which you can re-use, and is a balm to use in times of stress, and to promote relaxation. This is Ecobuni's most popular balm and contains ingredients such as: Sweet Almond Oil, Pure Soy Wax, Extra Virgin Olive Oil, Vitamin E, as well as essential oils of: Lavender, Roman Chamomile, Ylang Ylang, Neroli, and Geranium. I love the fragrance of this balm, and you can really smell the chamomile and neroli, two of my faves!
