The June 'Goddess Box' by Society of Lovely
Good things come in small packages and that's exactly what we get this month from Society of Lovely, with a smaller-than-usual but equally delightful, box of goodies. The Goddess Box is one of three boxes that you can subscribe to and is $65 NZD per month. The two other boxes that you can subscribe to are Little Lovelies at $40 NZD per month and Envy at $105 NZD per month (shipping is included in the price). With Little Lovelies, you receive 4-5 items, with Goddess Gifts, you get 5-7 items, and with Envy, you get the full package, with around 8-11 items. This month's box contains a mix of five samples and high value items.
1. Libertine Blends Tea Samples
First up, we have a range of tea samples from NZ tea company, Libertine Blends. I've tried Libertine Blends teas a few times now and can say that all of their teas that I've tasted are delicious! Libertine Blends use organic and wildcrafted NZ natives and are blended in small batches. The teas came in a cute drawstring pouch, and each pack contains two teabags. The samples I received were: Minty Ohm Tea with mint, Manuka, lemon balm, and rosemary for calming and cleansing; bold and warming Kapow Tea with Kawakawa, lemongrass, cardamon, and chilli; and delicate and nourishing Runaway Rose Tea with elderflower, rose, lavender, and vanilla.
2. Stella + Gemma Compact Mirror
I surprisingly don't own a compact mirror so this wee beauty is a welcome addition to my handbag! Stella + Gemma are an NZ-based jewellery and accessories wholesaler, and have a large range of gorgeous pieces that you'll find in stores all over the country.
This stylish, gold and black compact mirror is sturdy and shiny, and matches perfectly with my fave gold and black bag!
3. CALM by Herb Nerd NZ
This balm called Calm, is made by Herb Nerd NZ, who create a large range of products for healing and maintaining both your body and mind using carefully selected herbs and organic ingredients. Reading more about this brand, the creator of Herb Nerd NZ has extensive knowledge on both herbal medicine as well as a scientific background in chemistry and biology, so I was keen to try this balm and I'm interested in trying a few of their other products. This balm contains a blend of chamomile infused oil with five essential oils to help with anxiety, stress, and sleep. I do get quite stressed out regularly and deal with anxiety so I'll be rubbing this pocket-sized, sweet-citrus-smelling balm on my temples and wrists for some relief.
4. 'Frankly my dear' Chain Necklace by Twigg Jewellery
I never think to buy myself or wear much jewellery, even though I'd like to, so good to see Society of Lovely has come to rescue with this beautiful, gold, long chain necklace by Hawkes Bay-based company, Twigg Jewellery. Twigg Jewellery launched in 2015 and each of their pieces is lovingly designed and handcrafted at their Hawkes Bay studio.
This necklace came in beautiful white box and can be worn either doubled up or long line. This necklace would suit most outfits I own, and I'll be wearing this piece next weekend when I go out!
5. Manuka Creme's by Kapiti Chocolate Factory
The last item in the June box is a handful of yummy Manuka Creme chocolates made by Kapiti Chocolate Factory. You can't go wrong with good quality chocolates and these were a great little top off to the box!
Verdict: The June Box by Society of Lovely came in a slightly smaller box, but still managed to be packed full of lovely, NZ-made products! There was variety with jewellery, accessories, product, and edibles and there was nothing I didn't like in this month's box. Society of Lovely always bring surprises in every box, and you can sign up to the July box here.
