I AM Co.'s ' October Feeling Fab Box'
Today I'm reviewing my second box by I AM Co. for 2020. This month's box is called 'Feeling Fab' and contains a range of healthy snacks and beauty products that are going to start you off feeling great! I AM Co. are a monthly subscription box, that send out between 7-10 items, with a mix of healthy food products and natural beauty products. The Delight Box is $35 per month, and shipping is free for non-rural addresses. I Am Co. also have a reward program for subscribers where you earn points for each product you review in your box, which you can then redeem for a gift! The 'October Feeling Fab Box' contains 8 full and sample-sized products.
1. Red Berries Protein + Probiotics Nut Bars by Tasti
The first product in the October box is a box of five Red Berries Protein & Probiotics Nut Bars by NZ snack company, Tasti. This Nut Bar is crispy and delicious with it's combination of Goji Berries, Maca Root Powder, soy crisps, and yoghurt. This bar also contains many other healthy ingredients such as: Chicory Root Fibre, Cranberries, Cashews, Sunflower Seeds, Coconut, and Probiotic. I'll be keeping an eye out for these bars in the supermarket as these are the yummiest snack bars I've ever had!
2. Nature's Beauty Bee Kiwi Manuka Honey Gentle Cleanser
The first beauty product in this month's box is the Bee Kiwi Manuka Honey Gentle Cleanser by Nature's Beauty. This gentle, foaming cleanser contains Active Manuka Honey (MGO 260+), which has strong anti-inflammatory and antibacterial properties; Calendula extract, which cleanses and calms your skin; Meadowfoam Seed Oil, which is nourishing, protective, and is known to help reduce blemishes; Rosehip Oil, and Green Tea extract. This cleanser foams up easily, as a light fragrance, and feels gentle on your skin, and this is a good cleanser for all skin types.
3. Blueberry Kombucha by Block 5
Next up, we have a bottle of Blueberry Kombucha by Taupo-based Kombucha brewing company, Block 5. Block 5 brew kombucha in a variety of flavours including: Ginger, Green Apple, Blueberry, and Raspberry & Vanilla. Block 5 use local ingredients and recyclable glass containers, compost all bio-waste, use energy efficient equipment, and they are a member of the '1 For The Planet' organisation. Kombucha is made from water, tea leaves, aromatics, a natural sugar source, and a SCOBY (symbiotic culture of bacteria and yeast). If you haven't yet tasted kombucha, you're missing out. It tastes delicious and is good for you. The Blueberry Kombucha is blended with a green and black tea base, brewed for three weeks, and contains Monavale Organic Blueberries. Block 5's Kombucha is the best I've tasted, and I'll be buying some of their range soon.
4. Natvia Smooth Chocolate Topping
Another yummy, feel-good item in the October box, is this large bottle of Smooth Chocolate Topping by Natvia. All of Natvia's products use stevia, a natural sweetener. Natvia uses ingredients that are naturally sourced, plant-based, and GMO-free. This chocolate topping can be used on anything you'd like, but I'll be using this on either ice cream and waffles!
5. Milly's Lip Balm
The second beauty product in the box is this Pear & Lily Lip Balm by Milly's Balms. Milly's Balms make a range of lip balms and sleep balms using natural ingredients and plastic-free packaging. This lip balm contains moisturising ingredients such as coconut oil, cocoa butter, and shea butter, and is lightly scented with Pear & Lily. I was very much needing a new lip balm so I was glad to see one in this month's I AM Co. box! Go check out Milly's Instagram and Facebook and give her a follow, as Milly makes an amazing, moisturising lip balm!
6. Manuka Health Vision Shield
Next, we have Vision Shield supplements by Manuka Health New Zealand. Subscribers will have received either the Vision Shield, Liver Detox, or the Beauty Enhancer supplements. It was good to see the Vision Shield in my box as I spend every day in front of a screen and gets pretty taxing on the eyes. The Vision Shield contains essential eye nutrients and antioxidants to protect your eyes from blue light exposure, and help reduce eye fatigue. It contains ingredients such as: Propolis, Lutein, and Omega-3. Anything I can incorporate into my daily routine that's going to help benefit my health and my lifestyle is very welcome and I hope to see more products like this in future boxes.
7. Skin Rebel Active Skin Essence Sample by Solimara
The last beauty product in the October 'Feeling Fab' Box, is this sample bottle of Skin Rebel Active Skin Essence by NZ skincare company, Solimara. This serum contains ingredients such as: Jojoba Seed Oil, Apricot Kernel Oil, Grape Seed Oil, Plum Seed Oil, Hemp Seed Oil, Gingko Leaf Extract, Arctic Winged Kelp, and essential oils of: Frankincense, Myrrh, Ylang Ylang, and Immortelle. Solimara recommend that you use their serum after you've had a shower as your pores are open and this allows for easy absorption. I'm keen to use this serum and seeing my skin benefit from all of the natural oils that this serum contains.
Price: $120 for full-sized
8. Real Foods Corn Thins
And the last product in the box is a bag of the classic Corn Thins by Real Foods. I love Corn Thins, and they are perfect with toppings such as: avocado, tomato, and cheese or Marmite and butter. The main the reason I subscribed to I AM Co. is to receive monthly snacks that I can enjoy on the go at work and these Corn Thins will serve me well.
Verdict: The 'October Feeling Fab Box' was a nice one, and contained a varied balance of both edible and beauty products. This box contained items that all made me feel fab and that I will actually use or eat, and I've discovered some good quality NZ brands. You can sign up to I AM Co.'s November Box, here.
