My Treat 'April Body + Underwear' Box

For the April My Treat Box, the theme is 'Natural Skincare', which got me super excited as I'm big on only using skincare products that are natural and made in New Zealand, and My Treat made sure to deliver, by packing this month's box with some big bottles of goodness made by local brands. The April box features facial products by Bees Brilliance, Linden Leaves, By Nature, and Beauty Berry. Some products I've tried before and love, and some are new which I'm looking forward to trying for the first time. The box I received is the 'Body + Underwear' box which is $48.95 NZD per month, along with $6 shipping.

1 & 2. Linden Leaves Rescue Eye Serum & Lip Balm

Here are two products that I love, and that I have just recently run out of, so I was happy to see a couple of my favourite products included again! The Rescue Eye Serum contains anti-oxidizing organic white tea, toning and nourishing rose, and grapeseed oil for hydration. Personally, I feel that this has done wonders for the skin around my eyes, making my eyes look brighter and healthier, and the serum itself is cooling and refreshing. The lip balm contains organic tea, manuka honey, and almond oil, and is one of the best lip balms to carry around.

3. By Nature Recharging Face Mask

This sheet face mask from By Nature contains Avocado Oil, which is rich in Vitamins A, D, and E, and Rice Protein, which is known for its calming properties. I personally prefer sheet masks to paste masks as they are mess-free and you just need to lay the mask on your face and away you go.I left the mask on for ten minutes and then washed my face with warm water and as always, your skin feels so much better after a good face mask. By Nature's products are super affordable, and are free of parabens, are cruelty free, and contain natural ingredients.

4. Beauty Berry Magnesium Spray

This product is the one that I've most been looking forward to trying in the April box. Beauty Berry, an NZ based beauty company, create natural skincare products, handmade soaps, bath treats, and home fragrances. This spray is made from distilled water and magnesium chloride and help with multiple ailments. It can be used for muscle aches, sore joints, headaches, and to assist with sleep. I get sore muscles in my upper back and tend to pile on products such as Deep Heat and Voltaren to help with the pain, so I was happy to see a natural pain relief product in this month's box. I only tried this spray last night, but I found that it did take a bit of the edge off.

6. Kawakawa Natural Underarm Balm

Next up, is another product that I've been in need of. This box has been amazing as there have been products that I had recently run out of! Kawakawa Rotorua have featured in a couple of My Treat's previous boxes, with their Kawakawa Balm and Bath Salts. The special ingredient used in every product is the Kawakawa plant, which is native to New Zealand and contains natural healing properties. As you can see in the photo above, all of the ingredients are listed and this has a light lime and lemongrass scent to it. After reading the ingredients on some of the deodorants that I used in the past, and seeing that they contain aluminium, this really put me off using any deodorant that isn't natural. For over a year now, I've been using only natural deodorants and I wouldn't go back!

7. Bees Brilliance Honey & Propolis Facial Cleanser

Lets just start off by saying, Bees Brilliance's packaging is stunning! Bees Brilliance are a family owned, New Zealand based company that create a range of natural skincare products using their own honey from their bees in Nelson. This facial cleanser contains South Island Manuka Honey which has skin healing properties and keeps skin soft and smooth, NZ Propolis, a resin that has anti-microbial properties, and NZ Bee Pollen Oil which is rich in vitamins and amino acids.

Some of the other ingredients in this cleanser are: sweet almond oil, avocado oil, Mamaku leaf extract, carrot seed oil, and Harakeke leaf extract. This is one of the most beautiful cleansers I've seen as it is just so creamy and golden, and it smells divine. The Honey & Propolis Cleanser by Bees Brilliance felt lovely on my skin, was easy to wash off, and is definitely my new fave cleanser.

8. ViBERi Blackcurrant Powder Sample

The last item in this month's box is a sample of blackcurrant powder by ViBERi, an organic superfood company based in Christchurch. ViBERi use organic blackcurrants and red currants to create their drink powders. Blackcurrants are full of Vitamin C which has many health benefits such as supporting cell protect, neurological function, blood vessel function, and collagen formation. It also tastes pretty damn good too!
