My Treat 'March Body + Underwear' Box

The theme of this month's box is 'Motivational March' and it is jam packed with more goodies ever, with each item selected to pick you up and make you feel good about yourself. I love a feel-good box, and I delight in receiving My Treat's boxes each month, as there's nothing better than a surprise and products that are going to make you feel wonderful after using them. When I opened up this month's box and saw how many treats there were for me, I was in awe and excited to try every item! The box I received is the 'Body + Underwear' box which is $48.95 NZD per month, along with $6 shipping. The March box had a huge variety of different items, with two pairs of underwear, seven full-sized products and some samples.

My Treat have also created a new monthly magazine that talks about the brands and products featured in the box, handy motivational tips, recipes, and more.

1. Little Bird Organics Good Cookie

First up, we have an edible treat by NZ company, Little Bird Organics who are all about creating healthy, tasty, and high-quality, organic food. The food that they make is also gluten-free, dairy-free, and refined sugar-free, and what's even more amazing is that they have their own Little Bird Kitchen in Ponsonby where you can go enjoy a meal at. Just looking at their menu, I think I'll be checking out their kitchen soon. On their online store, they have a large range of snacks and ingredients, with the snack in this month's box being their Hazelnut Chocolate Chip Good Cookie. This handmade cookie is pretty damn delicious and contains raw chocolate, hazelnuts, oats, coconut, cocoa butter, cocoa powder, coconut sugar, sea salt, flax seed, and vanilla extract. This cookie is large, rich, sweet, crunchy and chewy, and makes for a delicious pick-me-up!

2. Puraz Collagen Capsules

Puraz Collagen Capsules are featured for a second time in My Treat's boxes and I know exactly why. Back in the November 2017 box, I received a supply of 60 capsules, and after taking them daily, I definitely noticed a difference with my skin, it just looked a lot healthier. I'm so relieved to see these capsules (and better yet, a 90 of them), as I haven't been feeling fantastic about turning 29, and need all the help I can get! So collagen is a protein in your your body that provides structure to your hair, nails, skin, bones, and muscles in your body. As you get older though, your body starts to lose collagen. Puraz Collage Capsules contain pure collagen hydrolysate and are infused with NZ phenolic antioxidants, so you know that you are putting the best collagen into your body. I'm hoping that from using these again, that I start to notice smoother and firmer skin! Puraz have also kindly included a great discount for My Treat subscribers for when this bottle runs out.

4. Kawakawa Rotorua Bath Salts Sample

Kawakawa Rotorua are another NZ brand that are featuring for a second time in My Treat's boxes. Kawakawa Rotorua create many different products from the plant Kawakawa, which has both internal and external healing properties. I frequently use their Kawakawa Balm, for ailments such as dry patches, insect bites, and blisters, and I hail it as a wonder balm. This sample sachet of their bath salts can be used in a foot or bath soak, or face vapor. The ingredients in this product are: Kawakawa extract, magnesium sulfate, and lavender oil. I decided to try this out as a face vapor. These salts have a soothing menthol scent and are just what you need when you are sick and have a blocked nose and feeling congested.

5. Lemon & Beaker Foaming Deep Cleanser Samples

The second sample in the March Box are two sachets of Foaming Deep Cleaner by Auckland based company, Lemon & Beaker. This cleanser contains lemon peel essential oil and bergamot fruit oil for a refreshing cleanse. I have to say, this is one of the nicest cleansers I've ever used, I like how it foams up which makes for easy coverage and the scent is uplifting, and is the perfect cleanser to use in the morning to get you going for the day. Lemon & Beaker's products are contain high-grade essential oils and their products are vegan so everybody can use them. Their range looks gorgeous and I think I need to get my hands on their Ageless Serum with Jasmine essential oil, along with a full-sized bottle of their cleanser!

6. Foot Scrub Tool

I can't see myself using this very often but this is a handy little foot tool that is great for buffing and scrubbing away dead skin before applying foot cream. This would also make for a good addition in a gift pack.

7. By Nature Foot Balm

You can never really go wrong with By Nature's products, and if you're wanting a beauty cabinet with affordable, natural products, then By Nature is a great brand to stock up on. This Soothing Peppermint & Aloe Vera Foot Balm also contains Active Manuka Honey to help soothe, moisturise, and heal dry and cracked feet. The balm itself smells like candy canes and feels cooling on your feet, and this will pair well with their foot scrub that I received in the September 2018 Box.

8 & 9. Lip Scrub & Clay Scrub/Mask Powder by Skye Candle & Body Care

This month, subscribers are lucky and get two products by NZ company, Skye Candle & Body Care. Created by Kash, Skye Candle & Body Care create everything from candles, to aromatherapy blends, to soy melts, and to skin care. First up, we have their Orange Lip Scrub. As the weather is cooling down, I've noticed that my lips are dryer, so this helps me to scrub away flaky skin before applying lippy. This lip scrub smells and tastes delicious and contains: coconut oil, sweet almond oil, grape seed oil, castor oil, safflower oil, cane sugar, Vitamin E, and flavour oil.

The Clay Facial Scrub & Mask is a 2 in 1 product that removes dead skin and cleanses and contains the following nutritious ingredients: kaolin clay, rhassoul clay, raspberry seeds, rose hip seeds, and goat milk powder. All of these ingredients have been combined to create a mask that has anti-aging properties and is full of vitamins to nourish your skin. I used 1/4 teaspoon of powder and added a bit of water to create a paste. Being in a glass jar, I was able to easily scoop out the powder and you don't need to use much to create a thin paste. I left the mask on for 15 minutes before washing it off with warm water. This mask combined with all the other beautiful facial products in the March box, has been really motivating for me, as caring for your skin goes a long way and makes you feel good about yourself!

10. Karen Murrell Lipstick in Peony Petal

The last product in the March box is a gorgeous, peach hued lipstick created by Karen Murrell. This is a creamy lipstick and the shade resembles the Peony flower in full bloom. All the ingredients in Karen Murrell's lipsticks are natural and nourishing, such as: candelilla, evening primrose oil, and castor oil. This lipstick glides on to give your lips a soft, coral pop, and the orange lip scrub was the perfect prepper before application. I tend to wear matte lipsticks which unless you're wearing a gloss, can make your lips feel dry, so it was refreshing to try a new lipstick that is moisturising and I'm hoping to see more of Karen Murrell in My Treat's future boxes.

Verdict: The 'Motivational March' box was massive and contained so many goodies that helped pick me up. Since My Treat, there hasn't been a product that I want or need, as My Treat have always have my beauty routine and cabinet sorted! As well as the products themselves being motivating, it was also motivating to see several small businesses within New Zealand, featured in this month's box, and that these businesses are focused on bringing us sustainable and natural products.
