My Treat 'February Body + Underwear' Box

This month's box has a theme which I'm always excited about which is... sleep! That's right, sleep. Getting a decent night's sleep is very important, everybody needs it, everybody wants it, but not everybody can get to sleep easily. I'm definitely one of those people that can struggle with getting to sleep, as I've always got a hundred different things going through my mind. My Treat's February Sleep Box has a couple of sleep saviours, along with some relaxing beauty essentials, and of course, underwear. The 'Body + Underwear' box is $48.95 NZD per month, along with $6 shipping, and this month's box contained two pairs of underwear and six products.

1. Nudi Point Sublime Lip Butter

I've used several products by Nudi Point, and their products are beautiful. This lip butter has a strong lime scent and my lips love this stuff! I found that I didn't need to constantly re-apply this product to my lips as it keeps them hydrated for quite a while. You get a generous amount in this glass jar, and at only $10, this is a steal. Keeping my lips moisturised is essential, and especially before I go to bed as there's nothing worse than waking up with dry lips. Nudi Point's lip butters contain shea butter, coconut oil, mango butter, beeswax, and lime essential oil, and all of their products are natural, 100% biodegradable, palm oil free, and cruelty-free.

2. My Treat Underwear

More polka dot, lacy underwear, it's like they read my mind! I'm not much of a frilly person, but My Treat's underwear makes me feel pretty and feminine, yet comfortable at the same time. Their underwear has become somewhat a staple for me, and I couldn't imagine not wearing their brand. Weird as it sounds, it's like a second skin as they are that comfy! My Treat's underwear are 95% polyester and 5% spandex, and their sizing is realistic, real underwear made for real women.

3. Ahhh... Cosmetics Sugar Soap Scrub

These sugar soap scrubs by Auckland based company, Ahhh... Cosmetics, are a fun alternative to your usual bar of soap. Each packet comes with ten pink and green, Summer Melon scented cubes for a fruity, Summer shower. These sugar soap scrubs are handmade and contain coconut oil to keep your skin moisturised, and are free of SLS and parabens. I do find the cubes are quite firm, so there's a bit of elbow work required in crumbling them up in warm water, but the pay-off is a super exfoliating shower! This is the second time Ahhh... Cosmetics Sugar Scrubs have featured in My Treat's boxes, and they do fit with this month's theme, as there's nothing better than going to bed with soft skin.

4. Blue Eco Sponge

I love how My Treat includes a sponge every few months, as you do need to throw them out after a while. This also comes in handy when using the sugar soap scrubs, and are a must-have hanging in every shower!

5. Apple & Cherry Juice by Benjer Drinks Co.

I do like seeing a drink featured in a box, every now and again, and cherry juice hits the spot for me. This 100% NZ fruit juice made by Central Otago based company, Benjer Drinks Co, is delicious and full of flavour. We have a few fruity products in the February box, and with this wonderful summer nearly over and the inclusion of fruits born from fruit farms around New Zealand, it's great to smell and taste these local products. Benjer Drinks Apple & Cherry Juice contains 87% NZ apple juice and13% NZ cherries, and I'm surprised that even though this juice contains mainly apple juice, the cherry flavour really shines through. Cherry juice is known for helping you sleep better, so this bottle of juice fits well with the February Sleep theme.

6. SleepDrops NZ

This is the second time SleepDrops NZ have featured in My Treat's boxes and I can see why, this product works wonders and subscribers loved them the first time! This bottle of herbs and flower essences by SleepDrops NZ contains 13 different herbs along with 11 homeopathic sleep remedies. Some of the ingredients that make up these sleep drops are: Californian Poppy, Lavender, Lemon Balm, Chamomile, Passionflower, Kava, Melatonin, and Milk Thistle. For the first five nights of taking these sleep drops, you need to take 5 to 10 drops under your tongue every half an hour starting two hours before bed, and from the sixth night you can take 5 to 10 drops every half hour, an hour before bed. This 30ml bottle contains around 600 drops, and has a slightly sweet, floral taste. If you can get into the routine of taking this religiously each night, it will help you relax and I found it much easier to fall asleep using these drops.

7. Luxurious Night Cream by Matakana Skincare

One thing I always do before I jump into bed, is apply a night cream to my face! Matakana Skincare handcraft a beautiful range of products for your face and body, and used plant based oils and butters, and essential oils to create their organic skincare. This vitamin enriched night cream contains: coconut oil, which is anti-aging; healing calendula; manuka honey; harakeke, a soothing NZ bush extract; wheatgerm oil, rich in Vitamin E; toning macadamia nut oil; avocado and olive oils; and rose geranium and vanilla essential oils. This night cream smells and feels beautiful with all the abundant ingredients within it, and is my favourite item in the February Sleep box. I found that I also had a more relaxing sleep from using this lotion thanks to the soothing scent of rose geranium! You can also catch Matakana Skincare at many of the markets around Auckland, keep an eye out for them!
