My Treat 'December Body + Underwear' Box

Here we have the last My Treat box for 2018 which is the December 'Christmas Stocking Box'. I am writing this in January 2019 though as there was a bit of a delay with the couriers due to the busy Christmas period. I've been reviewing subscription boxes for a couple of years now and I had a look at the review I wrote for My Treat's 2017 December box, and I'm in awe of the growth that has occurred with their boxes over just one year. This box is the 'Body + Underwear' box, which is $48.95 NZD per month along with $6 shipping. This month's box contained two pairs of very special underwear this year as this underwear is My Treat's own branded underwear which I was so excited to see. The December 'Christmas Stocking Box' also came with six products.

1. Linden Leaves Foot Scrub

The first of three Linden Leaves products in this box, is this sage and lemongrass foot scrub. This travel sized scrub contains pumice grains, ground apricot seeds, pure grapeseed oil and shea butter and I remember from a previous box where I received this scrub, that it works wonders on your feet. Nothing beats a good, relaxing foot soak that leaves your feet feeling silky soft and it's the perfect treat to use before summer to get your feet jandle ready!

2. Skinnies Sungel

A perfect product to include in this summery box is sunscreen, which we all need, especially in New Zealand as this summer so far has been an absolute scorcher. This sunscreen is different to any other I've seen before, as it's in gel form, it contains zero water, and you don't need lather yourself up with big dollops to get the protection you need. Skinnies Sungel is surprisingly not greasy, is SPF30, and contains no preservatives or parabens. This NZ sun care brand also has a range of other products including a sunscreen beauty gel that leaves you with a soft shimmer and tint, you can check out their range here.

3. Linden Leaves Lip Balm

Another summer essential, or if you're like me, an all year around essential, is lip balm, and the second Linden Leaves product in the December box is this cute lip balm that contains organic tea, manuka honey and sweet almond oil. I've always been a big fan of Linden Leaves, with the ingredients that they use and their classy packaging for all of their products. This moisturising and healing lip balm is one of my favourite items in this month's box as lip balm is a crucial handbag essential for me.

4 & 5. My Treat Underwear

I am beyond excited to see My Treat's own branded underwear for the first time ever in this month's box! I got my underwear in size small which fit perfectly. Sometimes with underwear you can get size small and it's more like an extra small, so I was pleased to see that their sizing is quite accurate. I love the white lace trim around the edges and this underwear is incredibly soft, being 95% polyester and 5% spandex. They're also super comfortable and I really hope to see more My Treat branded underwear in future boxes.

6. Gorgeous George Pink Clay Mask

I couldn't find much info online about the brand Gorgeous George, except they are a brand of Lanocorp. Other well known brands that come under Lanocorp and also frequently feature in My Treat boxes are Lanocreme and By Nature. I adore the packaging of this mask, with it's bright colours and funky patterns and art. Personally, I find that I am regularly drawn to beautifully packaged products as well as being cruelty free and made with natural ingredients. A few the ingredients in this Way to Glo Sheet mask are: aloe leaf juice, flower water, kaolin, shea butter, rosehip oil, coconut oil, and jojoba oil. First off, I removed all of my makeup, smoothed the bubblegum scented sheet mask onto my face, and then relaxed for ten minutes to let it work it's magic. I prefer masks like this one, that are cooling and don't dry up on your face. It may not be the best mask I've ever used but it did leave my face feeling soft and smooth and for only $5.00, this mask gets a thumbs up.

7. By Nature Hydrating Day Creme

Boy, was I happy to see this day creme in the December box! This is now the second time I've received this creme in a My Treat box and I know exactly why it's been included again, this stuff is really good. I use this creme every morning before I put on my makeup and it's been amazing for my skin. The Hydrating Day Creme contains Vitamin E, rosehip oil, hyaluronic acid and aloe vera. I can get quite oily skin so this creme which is light and non-greasy is a godsend.

8. Linden Leaves Body Oil

The last product in this box is Aromatherapy Synergy Body Oil by Linden Leaves. This body oil was the Winner of the NZ Best in Beauty Award in both 2017 and 2018! and can be used to minimise wrinkles, scars, and stretch marks. This body oil contains ingredients such as: organic rosehip and avocado oils, pure sweet almond and apricot kernel oils, rose, geranium, and ylang ylang.

Instructions say that you should massage this oil into warm, moist skin after a bath or shower. I've just got home from work so I won't be trying this today, and a part of me also wants to preserve this beautifully packaged body oil but I will use it to see what it's like, I mean if it's won awards, it must be pretty amazing. I have done a little tester on my hand and it smells divine, fans of floral scents are going to love this body oil and the bottle even contains a deep red preserved rose to make this oil even more sensual and romantic.

Verdict: The December Christmas Stocking Box was full of holiday season treats and had an assortment of products to get you ready for summer and products to pamper yourself with over the busy, silly season. I enjoyed everything in this box which is why no item in this month's box has under four hearts! The My Treat branded underwear was wonderful to see and they were possibly my favourite underwear from the entire year. 2018 has been an amazing year of boxes and My Treat have done wonders in sourcing new cruelty free, NZ brands and eco friendly packaging for their subscribers.
