My Treat 'May Body + Underwear' Box

My Treat's May Box is one that I've been really looking forward to with it's theme being 'Mother Earth May'. This box contains natural, sustainable products, with a focus on recyclable, eco-friendly packaging, and is one of my most loved boxes to date. This month's box not only contains beautiful, cruelty-free products, but also discount vouchers so that you can buy products of your choice that are good for you, and good for our planet! There are three different boxes you can subscribe to, with this one being the 'Body & Underwear' Box, which is $44.95 NZD per month along with $2.50 shipping. In this month's 'Mother Earth May' themed box, I received two pairs of underwear, five beauty products, a magnet guide, and three discount vouchers.

1. Just Intimates Pink Zebra Underwear

This month's box contains two pairs of pink underwear, which was much needed as I don't own any pink underwear! This fabric of this pair feels quite sturdy and supportive and since I upped my underwear size with My Treat, both pairs fit like perfectly.

2. Girlfriends Guide to Recycling Fridge Magnet

My Treat has included a fabulous fridge magnet guide made by them, to help us do our bit to look after our planet! This little magnet is a super handy guide to put on your fridge in the kitchen as it tells you what can and cannot be recycled and what the symbols on your bottles and containers mean. I'll be referring to this guide quite a bit with some of my used household products, as there were a couple of things that I didn't know you couldn't put in your recycling bin!

3. by nature Purifying Eye Serum

Using eye creams and serums has now become a part of my daily skincare regime thanks to My Treat, and I've noticed big changes since introducing eye products to my morning and night routine. The skin under my eyes feels softer and looks smoother and brighter! I love getting products from by nature in my My Treat boxes as their products do not disappoint, are affordable and don't contain any nasty chemicals. The glass bottle packaging is stunning and I hope to see more glass packaging in future boxes. I'm still trying to get through my supply of eye products, so I've only tested this serum once. This serum contains ingredients such as rice protein, rosehip oil and green tea extract to reduce dark circles, calm skin, and reduce scarring and pigmentation. The serum itself looks quite creamy but feels light on the skin. All you need is a few dabs under your eye and around your brows. There's no scent to this serum but it looks and feels super nourishing and I'm sure my skin is going to benefit from this large bottle of goodness.

4. Ahhh...Organic Goats Milk Soap by Soap Opera

More soap ahhhh!!! I absolutely love trying different soaps on my hands and in the shower! This creamy looking bar contains goats milk and coconut oil so this is going to be very moisturising. There's not much of a scent to it but as long as it lathers up and leaves my skin feeling hydrated, then I'm happy. It's good to see that this bar keeps to this month's theme by being a naked bar that sits in a cardboard holder, instead of being wrapped in plastic. Also, you must head over to Soap Opera's website as they have some gorgeous gifts at great prices!

5. Hot Pink Lacy Underwear

Check out this hot pink, vibrant pair of knickers! I've needed some more pairs of simple full bottom underwear so this pair with a touch of lace is more than welcome in my quite full underwear drawer!

6. Discount Vouchers & Loofah

My Treat seems to always come to the rescue, and they have, with another much needed loofah. To continue on with the theme of 'Mother Earth May', My Treat has teamed up with some awesome sustainable NZ businesses to give their subscribers exclusive discounts!! I've never really used any sort of discount voucher or code to suck me into buying, but these businesses make quality, reusable, eco-friendly products so I did do some shopping, and I felt really good about these purchases! Now, I didn't use one of the vouchers which was from Cali Woods, who make reusable straws, and that's only because I already own reusable straws, but if you don't own your own, I highly recommend you go to their online store and buy some at www.caliwoods.co.nz. You'd be surprised how many plastic straws one person goes through each year, many of these straws end up in our beautiful ocean, and it's just not necessary when you can own your own sleek, reusable metal straws that you can just keep in your bag!

My second voucher is from Eco Saint NZ who make reusable produce bags. I don't have bags for my fruit and veges so this was a purchase I had to make! I got the family pack which contains a small, medium and large bag. Here are my beautiful, reusable bags and you can get yours at www.ecosaint.co.nz.

My second purchase was from Nudi Point, whose products feature in My Treat's boxes. This was a bit of a pamper shop and I bought their 'Awaken' gift box which contains a natural loofah, their Coco-nutty Lemon-grassy Whipped Body Butter, a MoMints Like These Body Bar, a Happy Ending (with a twist) Body Bar and a Face of the Earth Exfoliating Facial Bar. I also topped it off by adding in a cheeky creamy Orange Ya Glad I Kissed Ya Lip Butter. Their products come in lovely wooden boxes and make for the perfect gift for yourself or a loved one. 7. Little Mango Natural Deodorant

I really can't decide which is my favourite product in My Treat's May box as I truly love everything in it and this natural rose geranium deodorant by NZ company, Little Mango is another winner! I've been sticking to the same deodorant for the past ten years or so, as I've never found a deodorant that cuts it, but this one here, is really good. The ingredients in this product are shea butter, mango butter, coconut oil, tapioca, sodium bicarbonate, sweet almond oil and essential oils and after several hours of wear (using a pea-sized amount under each arm), I didn't notice any body odour. I've been wanting to start using a natural deodorant for a while now, so this might just become a new bathroom staple.

8. Linden Leaves Miraculous Facial Oil (3ml)

This cute little sample vial contains what looks like a liquid gold elixer, and has won several beauty awards so I was excited to try this product. I can't say that I've used facial oils in the past, as the word 'oil' is frightening when your skin can get quite oily. As always, Linden Leaves packaging is gorgeous. The key anti-oxidant rich ingredients in this oil are organic white tea and organic rosehip oil. It doesn't feel greasy on my face but I must say, it does smell like weed to me, and as I type this it kind of smells like I've doused myself in cannabis oil but that must just be the green tea. It will interesting to see if I notice any difference to my skin, as it is a bit pricey and hopefully it lives up to all the great reviews I've read.

Price: $64.99 for a 25ml vial Rating: ❤❤❤❤❤/5

Verdict: The 'Mother Earth May' Box really did live up to what I expected it to be and I got so much from this box with the added extras of the discount vouchers. I will use all of these products and will most likely buy more products from these great, sustainable New Zealand brands! Not including the discount vouchers, I received over $100 NZD worth of natural, cruelty-free goodies and it's always nice to see brands such as Linden Leaves and by nature again in My Treat's boxes along with a new fabulous brand, Little Mango. Big thanks to Cali Woods, Eco Saint and Nudi Point for the vouchers and the quick delivery of my orders! I can't wait to see more natural themed boxes by My Treat in the future.
